Design Manager – Chakan, Pune
We are looking for an experienced and technically competent professional to join our team as a Design Manager.
The selected candidate will lead our design, research & development, product costing, and customer-specific engineering projects.
The ideal candidate should have:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders as per customer requirements.
- Manage mechanical design, research & development, and product improvement activities.
- Prepare and review 2D drawings, 3D models, GA drawings, manufacturing drawings, and BOMs.
- Guide the design team in material selection, seal selection, mounting design, port selection, and component selection.
- Review customer drawings, specifications, QAPs, technical requirements, and application details.
- Ensure technical feasibility, design accuracy, and manufacturability of all projects.
- Handle product costing based on design, material, machining, bought-out items, and special components.
- Maintain design standards, revision control, drawing records, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with production, quality, purchase, sales, and dispatch teams for smooth project execution.
- Communicate with clients for technical discussions, design approvals, clarifications, and project updates.
- Handle multiple design projects independently and ensure timely completion.
- Support new product development, special cylinder development, standardisation, and value engineering.
- Provide technical support for hydraulic and pneumatic valves, circuits, fittings, and accessories.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong expertise in mechanical design.
- Proven experience in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder design.
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to guide the design team.
- Strong communication skills to communicate effectively with customers.
- Ability to handle technical requirements and approvals.
- Qualification: B.Tech or B.E. (Mechanical Engineering).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, product design, or design management.
- Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder design is essential.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software is essential.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals, tolerances, fits, materials, seals, and manufacturing processes.
- Prior knowledge of product costing is required.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic valves, circuits, fittings, and accessories.
- Ability to lead a design team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong customer communication and technical discussion skills.
- Ability to convert customer requirements into practical, reliable, and cost-effective design solutions.
- Experience in R&D, customised engineering products, and special-purpose cylinder design will be an added advantage.
Quality Manager – Chakan, Pune
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Quality Manager to join our team and lead our quality systems, inspection processes, customer quality requirements, and documentation activities.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in quality assurance, preferably in the hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder industry, with hands-on experience in ISO documentation, QAP implementation, inspection procedures, PPAP documentation, customer audits, and quality improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
- Handle ISO documentation, records, internal and external audits, and compliance requirements.
- Review and maintain existing Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs).
- Prepare and maintain PPAP documentation, inspection reports, test certificates, and customer quality documents.
- Handle export-related quality documentation as per customer and project requirements.
- Coordinate and manage customer audits, including audit preparation, documentation, responses, and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper inspection of incoming, in-process, and final products.
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with customer specifications and approved drawings.
- Handle customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, implement CAPA, and drive quality improvements.
- Coordinate with production, design, purchase, stores, and dispatch teams for quality-related activities.
- Maintain calibration records, inspection formats, quality records, and testing documentation.
- Support vendor quality improvement and supplier evaluation activities.
- Drive continuous improvement in quality processes to reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualification: B.Tech or B.E. (Mechanical Engineering).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Management or Quality Assurance.
- Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic manufacturing is preferred.
- Good knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 documentation and implementation.
- Ability to handle PPAP documentation and export-related quality documentation.
- Capable of handling customer audits independently.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, inspection reports, and QAPs.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments, calibration, testing, and inspection procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and practical shop-floor quality experience.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to independently maintain quality systems, customer documentation, and audit compliance.
